Our mission: To identify, describe, analyze, and manage
the risk and uncertainty associated with components of profit
(capital cost and timing, production forecasts, operating expenses,
and price)
We will:
- motivate you to master probabilistic methods: Monte Carlo
simulation and decision trees.
- build and enhance models that clarify the problem, engage
the proper resources, and drive better business decisions.
- develop internal champions and processes that endure.
Susan Peterson has more than 17 years of experience as a consultant,
project manager/senior drilling engineer, and teaching petroleum
engineering. For more than eight years she has specialized in
applying risk analysis and decision methods for AFE time and cost
models and full field development optimization.
As a consultant, Susan performs project-specific risk analysis
and provides training on decision and risk analysis. Her experience
includes project team leader for a Risk Analysis and Decision
Methods initiative, integrated risk analysis on field development
optimization and evaluation projects. Her work resulted in probabilistic
time and cost estimates for CAPEX, selection of appropriate technology,
strategizing terms and conditions, and providing probabilistic
engineering economics.
Susan has experience in reservoir and production engineering
as well as extensive experience as a drilling engineer. She was
assistant professor of petroleum engineering at Marietta College.
Susan has PhD and MS degrees from Texas A&M University and a BS
degree from Marietta College, all in petroleum engineering.
