Join us for a FREE Crystal Ball Public Seminar. This half-day event will feature Steve Hoye, trainer and consultant for Oracle's Crystal Ball; and Aaron Guild, project engineer for Fedex Global Strategic Planning & Engineering (GSP&E) Department, who will teach attendees new applications and best practices for using Oracle's Crystal Ball for risk analysis and quality improvement.

Risk Analysis and Quality Improvement With Oracle's Crystal Ball
Learn how to use time series forecasting to estimate future market share, how to use optimization of product pricing over product life to maximize profit, and how to perform valuation of strategic flexibility using real options to expand production in strong market conditions.
The conclusions of the seminar focus on the dramatic transformation of the original single point-estimate profit forecast, into a more realistic and valuable assessment of expected profit, risk, and key drivers that guide management in its decision-making.
You'll learn about multiple aspects of project valuation, from financial analysis and pricing, to operational projects that improve the customer experience

Quality at FedEx Express, Crystal Ball Applications
"We know that expanding the physical networks of our companies is not enough. We must also fulfill what we deem our Purple Promise: 'I will make every FedEx experience outstanding.' Our Service Quality Index, across all operating companies, is designed to reflect customer needs and expectations. In support of that Promise, we have used Crystal Ball in a variety of ways. For example, it has allowed us to identify distributions (variation), forecast data, and assess risk in order to focus on improving the customer experience. Thus far, we’ve found it to be a useful and valuable tool we’ve employed for almost 3 years."
Presented by Aaron Guild, project engineer for Fedex Global Strategic Planning & Engineering (GSP&E) Department.
Aaron Guild graduated with a B.S.I.E. from Purdue University in 1996. He has worked for Fedex for twelve years. He started in Chicago, I: supporting aircraft interface, sorting and trucking operations. He also supported operations in Louisville, KY. He worked as a regional engineer supporting the Central (Midwest) Regional area. Currently he is a project engineer for the Global Strategic Planning & Engineering (GSP&E) Department supporting the international division.
